Available since February 2007: New generation loop detector - getting you to your destination!
Are you looking for the greatest possible flexibility? Get to know a new class of loop detectors: The ProLoop detector from Bircher Reglomat. Installed in a DIN housing a mere 22 mm wide, it only takes up a minimum amount of space in the control unit. Thanks to its universal programming options, this virtuoso is just right for practically all applications in industrial and private gates, barriers or logistics. This device combines peak performance and comfort!
Forget about setting your loop detectors using fiddly DIP switches. The bothersome task of detecting which switch is on or off is now definitely a thing of the past.
Operation is even easier than a mobile phone: The loop detector is set using two buttons and there is a clearly legible display. Settings or adjustments are confirmed after they have been made. This means it is impossible to change the loop detector’s settings inadvertently. Errors in the system are displayed immediately.
With only four variants two each for the one and two-loop unit it is possible to set all functions and time delays. And as an added bonus, the limited number of types means stock is streamlined.
The factory settings offer immediate start-up of the system. Changes to functions or time delays can simply be made on-the-spot.
Using the “Simulation” mode, the parameters can be checked without the loop having to be used.
The electrical isolation of the loop increases the fail-safe characteristics of the loop detector: Simple ground faults in the loop do not cause the system to fail.
The ASB (Automatic Sensitivity Boost) setting guarantees that trucks with trailers can be detected reliably. |

Safety edges from Bircher Reglomat – Why not let
us do your switching for you?
Safety edges prevent
automatic gates, doors and barriers from injuring people or damaging vehicles and goods when closing.
Contact strips Bircher
Reglomat has expanded its assortment of contact strips. The brand-new ENT-R made from
EPDM, a rugged synthetic rubber compound, offers an alternative to the best-known ENT-20
contact strip.
Our range of contact strips - ENT-20:
The tried-and-tested all-rounder, with the best possible electrical properties.
- ENT-R:
The robust specialist, practically insensitive to being knocked, bent or flattened, and to water vapour.
- ENT-S:
The tiny one made of silicone, for applications where space is at a premium.
The
contact strips all share the same characteristic structure: Two conductive layers facing each other
with a defined gap are embedded within an insulating, flattened oval profile. The elements can be monitored
as conductive loops by an end piece with an integrated resistor.
Rubber
profiles Combined with corresponding rubber profiles to make safety
edges, the three contact strips permit this tried-and-tested protection technology to be used in a wide
range of applications. The variety of rubber profiles leaves scarcely any wishes ungranted. From the
smallest 8 mm high profile that can be glued into place, to special profiles more than 100 mm high,
some of which are available with pull-off lips and a click-fit foot. They all serve the same objective:
Protecting crushing and shearing points on automatic doors, gates and barriers.
Features
of safety edges
- Not sensitive to the effects
of weather.
- As a system, compliant with EN 12978 and EN 1760-2
standards.
- Available for you to assemble yourself or as preassembled
systems.
- Rubber profiles with pull-off lips.
- Wide
selection of standard profiles.
- Rubber profiles with click-fit
foot for quick and easy assembly.
Pressure
wave technology Successfully used for years in industrial gates,
pressure wave profiles with the corresponding switch are still indispensable. The best
switching characteristics for all edge technologies with the lowest costs. Compliance with the industrial
door standard is also possible.

Sensor solution with EC type approval in accordance with Machinery
Directive!
The Jupiter range is used for opening
operations in automatic sliding doors and gates and for protecting the primary and secondary closing
edges. This new integrated sensor solution also offers other functions for convenience
as well as extra functions for easy handling and great flexibility with respect to its application.
The
sensors of the Jupiter range are the first ones on the market to obtain the EC type approvals
in accordance with DIN 18650, EN 12978 and other relevant standards and thus are
in compliance with the requirements of the European machinery directive (98/37/EEC).
The
TÜV (Technical Inspection Authority) has certified that the Jupiter range complies with all relevant
standards and has approved it with immediate effect as protection system for use
in automatic sliding doors and gates. In Germany, consistent compliance with DIN
18650 is mandatory as of July 1, 2006. Thanks to the Jupiter range, you receive a product that implements
tomorrow's standards today.
With the Jupiter range, we provide you with
the basis you need to enable you to protect and activate automatic sliding doors
in a simple way, in accordance with the current applicable standards and at the highest
quality level. Further risk assessments and analyses thus are no longer necessary. Move about
as provided for in DIN 18650, "with no fuss and always on the safe side".
Jupiter
– The flexible sensor family for safety
and convenience
Description The
Jupiter Family from Bircher Reglomat The Jupiter sensor family is perfectly suited
for opening and protecting automatically controlled doors in public areas. Activation is done using
the proven radar technology and presence detection is based on an active infrared curtain.
Predefined parameters allow the user to adjust the sensors to different situation and installation conditions
in an easy way with just a few hits on the remote control.
Jupiter SE
is the ideal solution for automatic sliding doors in escape and rescue routes. The “intelligent” self-monitoring
sensor makes it possible to use the detector as an opening sensor in these areas. The device is available
with three different signal output versions for a simple integration into the door controller.
Jupiter
Presence concentrates entirely on protection At secondary closing edges, there
is often a risk of being crushed or trapped. Jupiter Presence is ideally suited to eliminate these hazards
reliably and contact-free.
Regardless of how complex
local requirements may be: the various functions, a variety of setting options and a flexible installation
makes the sensor suite excellently for sliding door applications as well as for different installation
and ambient conditions. The Jupiter family fulfill high requirements for state of the art door designs
in addition to safety-related tasks. All products of the Jupiter family look exactly same and offer
an esthetic solution which can be harmoniously integrated in the door architecture.

Installation
in the ceiling
The Jupiter ceiling installation set JIS for concealed
mounting
is used to integrate the detector in the ceiling. The JIS makes it possible to integrate the detector
discretely and almost invisibly in the door design. The white PVC cover can be individually painted.
