New market presence with innovative solutions

BBC Bircher Smart Access premiers at one of Australia’s biggest industry fairs

For the very first time, BBC Bircher Smart Access will be showcasing its portfolio at the annual Security Exhibition & Conference in Sydney – including three new access solutions and the leading ExpertSystem.

From August 27 to 29, it will be all about security, safe access and building automation at the Security Exhibition & Conference, taking place in the International Conference Center (ICC) in Sydney, Australia. Over 150 exhibitors and more than 10.000 people are going to be present to introduce new solutions, explore business opportunities, and meet customers and journalists. Operating in Australia for over three decades, BBC Bircher Smart Access is proud to be present at booth S62 – showcasing its latest solutions for door and gate automation and safety.

EasyLoop: precision vehicle detection

The new EasyLoop sensor safeguards and activates barriers and gates in case of vehicle presence. Its 79 GHz radar technology offers the best-suited resolution available for barrier and gate applications, enabling precise and reliable differentiation between vehicles, pedestrians and environmental elements, all without the need of induction loops and in any environment (weather, light, etc.). Simple installation takes place 80 cm above ground level; parameters such as sensitivity or detection range can be configured via mobile app.

FutureSense: next generation smart sensing

The new FutureSense is a multidimensional radar sensor for swing, sliding and revolving doors. Its latest door activation technology based on FMCW (frequency-modulated continuous wave) enables human behavior analytics. The system continuously monitors key human movement parameters as approach, direction and velocity to determine genuine intent to enter. By distinguishing between casual proximity and purposeful movement, FutureSense ensures that the door opens only when necessary, enhancing both energy efficiency and user experience.

The precise movement data including position, speed direction and size is collected and can be implemented in various other systems.  Installation is made simple via the FutureSense app: all field and area settings can be modified in real time to optimize activation and use of energy.

SolidSense: maximum safety for automatic doors

SolidSense is a two-sensor set for safeguarding automatic doors according to EN 16005. It protects people from getting hurt at closing edges of swing doors and revolving doors. Each system combines highest safety with comfort, accessibility and ease of installation. SolidSense works reliably in any scenario – independent of surfaces, lighting and other environmental conditions.

Just like FutureSense, SolidSense features a compact and unobtrusive design that enables aesthetic integration in any application.

ExpertSystem: the gold standard for door and gate safety

Automatic doors and gates are best protected with the UL- and FCC-compliant ExpertSystem XL safety edges. Six profile heights, high sensitivity and soft deformation ensure maximum safety at automatic access points. Thanks to their innovative and modular design, installation and operation are flexible and efficient, including different delivery and assembly options. The variable ExpertSystem XL safety edges can also be combined with the ExpertSystem XRF radio transmission system to enable seamless and cable-free installation in any scenario.
