BBC Bircher Smart Access’s electric safety edges are used to protect against pinching and shearing hazards at automatic doors, gates, and barriers. Profiles of various sizes, combined with different switching devices, provide safe and reliable protection for people and objects in accordance with applicable standards.
They are based on the proven principle of the switching strip drawn into the rubber profile. Even with minimal pressure, the conductive rubber profiles are pressed together and the impulse for opening is transmitted to a switching device or transmission system. The sophisticated design promises high reliability even in unusual applications.
ClickLine
Rubber profiles with click base
The ClickLine series is characterized by its simple installation: Click in and you’re done.
There’s no need for time-consuming lateral insertion. This means that even damaged safety edges can be replaced quickly and easily.
The optimally designed profile shape also ensures maximum switching reliability.
CoverLine
Rubber profiles for high visual demands
The aluminium profile is covered by the lateral fixing principle.
This results in a uniform appearance that also blends in very well with sophisticated designs.
The CoverLine safety edges are particularly suitable for vertical installation, e.g. on sliding area gates, and for long overtravel distances.
