Smart activation sensor for automatic doors
FutureSense
FutureSense represents the next generation of smart sensor technology. The multidimensional FMCW radar sensor redefines automatic door control for swing and revolving doors. It ensures maximum convenience and saves energy by tracking an object’s movement and behavior and triggering an opening only when it is truly necessary.
State-of-the-art sensor technology
The FutureSense radar sensor uses 60-GHz FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology with advanced tracking to detect objects with high precision. It effectively suppresses cross-traffic, which improves energy efficiency and extends the door’s service life.
Human Behavior Recognition
By recognizing human behavior, including approach patterns and genuine intent to enter, the sensor determines exactly when to initiate door opening. This intelligence helps prevent unnecessary openings and ensures more efficient, reliable door operation.
Easy installation and setup
Installation and setup are a breeze with the FutureSense app. Its intuitive design and user guidance make configuration and testing quick and easy. The newly developed antenna design minimizes the need for adjustments, saving you time and effort.
State-of-the-art sensor technology
FutureSense is a multidimensional radar sensor for swing and revolving doors. Its latest door-activation technology, based on FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave), enables the analysis of human behavior. The state-of-the-art software continuously tracks human movement parameters such as approach, direction, and speed to detect a genuine intent to enter.
Human Behavior Recognition
Object Tracking
FutureSense goes beyond conventional door-activation sensor technology, which relies on interpreting signals and the movement of target objects. With true object tracking, the sensor uses information such as position, speed, and direction based on the object’s behavior.
Analysis of Human Behavior
This data is then used to identify the approach and any intention to enter. In combination with several configurable parameters, the sensor determines whether and when the door should be opened.
Advanced crosstalk suppression
New technology suppresses cross-traffic more effectively. Any interference that does not involve movement toward the door is ignored.
Easy installation and setup
Digitalization and an improved user experience are essential—they enable smoother processes and greater efficiency, while reducing installation time to a minimum.
Intuitive setup
The FutureSense app guides installers and service technicians through the basic application settings to configure the sensor quickly and easily. The app connects securely to the FutureSense sensor, and all changes are saved immediately. The sensor’s LEDs flash to indicate an active connection.
Real-time adjustments
Parameters such as mounting position, detection range, and exclusion zones are set directly in the app and can be updated simultaneously. Real-time status updates and notifications keep the user informed and ready to respond. You can also use the app to update the sensor’s firmware and access manuals directly.
Compact design meets functionality
Stylish and practical
Design is more important than ever. The FutureSense seamlessly combines style and functionality. Its exceptionally compact and elegant housing highlights its appealing aesthetics. Smaller than a smartphone, its sleek, sophisticated design fits perfectly into modern door frames.
Flexible installation and intelligent detection
The built-in LEDs provide clear visual feedback and combine functionality with a modern look. They indicate the sensor’s operating status as well as detection and activation.
Complete solution with SolidSense
Swing-door solution for access control and security
By combining the FutureSense activation sensor with the SolidSense safety sensor, you can create a complete solution for efficient activation and reliable protection of automatic doors in accordance with EN 16005.
