Safety mats for safe activation and deactivation of machines (ESM-52/54/57, ES-Button, EMP)
Safety mats are used to detect people or objects on a defined area.
In conjunction with the EsMatix 3 safety relay, they form a certified system for safeguarding danger zones and thus protecting people.
In combination with the EsMatix 3 safety switching device, the safety mat is type-tested in accordance with EN ISO 13856-1 and complies with PLe, Cat. 3 in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1.
Signal mat for presence detection
The EMP Safety Mat is mounted on the vehicle’s standing platform and is primarily a surface switch that detects the presence of a person.
If the driver leaves the standing platform, the vehicle is stopped. This prevents serious accidents, personal injury and damage to property.
This rules out pedestrian operation in vehicles not designed for this purpose, which ensures safe operation of the vehicle.
ES-Button
The ES-Button flat push-button is a push-button for controlling various machine functions.
Whether a door is to be opened by its impulse or an application is to be started, the ES-Button is the interface between man and machine. Mounted horizontally or vertically, it can be easily operated by hand, foot or arm.
The robust design even allows use in dirty and damp environments.
Standard molds in various sizes
The ESM-52 safety mat is available in eight different standard sizes (rectangular).
For special intermediate sizes, the rectangular ESM-54 can be used, which is available with a studded or smooth surface.
Both types can be laid directly on the floor or under a floor covering, such as a carpet.
Special shapes tailored to your needs
Do you have a special application with individual requirements in terms of dimensions and functionality?
The ESM-57 safety mat is produced according to your requirements in terms of size, shape and surface.
It is also possible to individually determine the position of the cable outlet and integrate various active switching zones, which are highlighted in color.
Use as a safety device for forklift trucks
The pressure-sensitive mat ensures that the vehicle is deactivated immediately if the control platform is left unintentionally.
It also ensures a non-slip, vibration-absorbing and therefore ergonomic standing surface.
Use for machine safety
Safety mats reduce the risk of injury from moving machine parts.
The provision of a robust, highly visible safety mat with integrated safety switch can be combined to protect larger areas.
