BBC Bircher Smart Access’s electric safety edges are used to protect against pinching and shearing hazards at automatic doors, gates, and barriers. Profiles of various sizes, combined with different sensing devices, provide safe and reliable protection for people and objects in accordance with applicable standards.
They are based on the proven principle of a switching strip embedded in the rubber profile. Even with minimal pressure, the conductive rubber profiles are pressed together and the signal to open is transmitted to a switching device or transmission system. The well-designed construction ensures high reliability even in unusual applications.

The ClickLine series stands out for its easy installation: just snap it into place and you’re done.
There’s no need for time-consuming side insertion. This makes it quick and easy to replace even damaged edge sensors.

The aluminum profile is concealed by the side-mounting system.
This creates a uniform appearance that blends in very well even with sophisticated designs.
CoverLine guide rails are particularly suitable for vertical installation, e.g., on sliding gates, and for long travel distances.
