Safety mats are used to detect people or objects within a defined area.
When used in conjunction with the EsMatix 3 safety control unit, they form a certified system for securing hazardous areas and thus protecting people.
When used in combination with the EsMatix 3 safety control unit, the safety mat is type-tested in accordance with EN ISO 13856-1 and complies with PLe, Category 3, as defined in EN ISO 13849-1.
Signal mat for presence detection
The EMP sensor mat is mounted on the vehicle’s floor and is primarily a surface-mounted switch that detects the presence of a person.
If the driver leaves the platform, the vehicle stops. This helps prevent serious accidents, personal injury, and property damage.
This prevents the vehicle from being operated in walk-behind mode if it is not designed for that purpose, thereby ensuring safe operation of the vehicle.
ES button
The ES-Button flat pushbutton is a pushbutton used to control various machine functions.
Whether you want to open a door or launch an application, the ES button serves as the interface between people and machines. Mounted horizontally or vertically, it can be easily operated by hand, foot, or arm.
Its durable design even allows it to be used in dirty and damp environments.
Standard shapes in various sizes
The ESM-52 safety mat is available in eight different standard sizes (rectangular).
For specific intermediate sizes, the rectangular ESM-54 can be used; it is available with a dimpled texture or a smooth surface.
Both types can be installed directly on the floor or under a floor covering, such as carpet.

The ESM-57 pressure-sensitive mat is manufactured according to your specifications regarding size, shape, and surface finish.

The pressure-sensitive mat immediately deactivates the vehicle if the operator leaves the control platform unexpectedly.
It also provides a non-slip, vibration-dampening, and therefore ergonomic standing surface.
