Expanding Presence in Australia with Innovative Smart Sensing Solutions
BBC Bircher Smart Access is participating for the second time in one of Australia’s largest industry trade shows.
BBC Bircher Smart Access will once again be exhibiting at the Security Exhibition & Conference in Sydney in 2026. Following its successful debut last year, the company is presenting its innovative access solutions for the second time this year—with a larger booth, new opportunities for networking, and a comprehensive portfolio of door and gate automation and security solutions.
From September 2 to 4, 2026, the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Sydney, Australia, will be all about security, secure access, and building automation. The Security Exhibition & Conference is one of Australia’s most important industry gatherings, bringing together exhibitors, trade visitors, customers, partners, and media representatives to discover new solutions, explore business opportunities, and discuss the latest developments in the security industry.
BBC Bircher Smart Access has been operating in Australia for over three decades and is pleased to be back again this year. At booth J32, the company, together with its distribution partner Global Access Australia, will showcase its latest solutions for the automation and safety of doors, gates, and barriers—including EasyLoop, FutureSense, and the proven ExpertSystem.
EasyLoop: Precise Vehicle Detection
The new EasyLoop sensor secures and activates barriers and gates when vehicles are present. Its 79-GHz radar technology offers the ideal resolution for barrier and gate applications and enables precise and reliable differentiation between vehicles, pedestrians, and environmental factors—without the need for induction loops and regardless of weather, lighting conditions, or other environmental factors.
Installation is simple and is done at a height of 80 cm above the floor. Parameters such as sensitivity and detection range can be easily configured using a mobile app.
FutureSense – Smart Radar Sensor Optimizes Automatic Opening
FutureSense is a multidimensional radar sensor for revolving and carousel doors. The latest door activation technology, based on FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar technology, enables the analysis of human movement patterns. The system continuously monitors key movement parameters such as proximity, direction, and speed to detect a person’s actual intention to enter.
Because FutureSense distinguishes between random proximity and intentional movement, the door opens only when it is truly necessary. This improves both energy efficiency and the user experience.
Precise motion data—including position, speed, direction, and magnitude—can be captured and integrated into various other systems. Installation is particularly easy thanks to the FutureSense app: All zone and area settings can be adjusted in real time to optimally coordinate activation and energy usage.
ExpertSystem: The Gold Standard for Door and Gate Security
Automatic doors and gates can be optimally secured with the UL- and FCC-compliant ExpertSystem XL safety edges. Six profile heights, high sensitivity, and flexible deformation ensure maximum safety at automatic access points.
Thanks to their innovative and modular design, the ExpertSystem XL safety edges enable flexible and efficient installation as well as reliable operation. Various delivery and mounting options provide additional customization possibilities. In combination with the ExpertSystem XRF wireless transmission system, seamless and wireless installation is also possible in a wide variety of application scenarios.
SolidSense: Maximum Safety for Automatic Doors

SolidSense is a two-sensor kit designed to safeguard automatic doors in accordance with EN 16005. It protects people from injuries caused by the closing edges of swing and revolving doors. Each system combines maximum safety with convenience, accessibility, and easy installation.
SolidSense works reliably in a wide variety of application scenarios—regardless of surfaces, lighting conditions, and other environmental factors. Like FutureSense, SolidSense features a compact and unobtrusive design that allows for seamless aesthetic integration into any application.
Experience Smart Sensing Solutions Live in Sydney
Visitors can experience all of these solutions—including live demonstrations of FutureSense and EasyLoop—as well as other innovations at Booth J32 at the Security Exhibition & Conference 2026.
The experts at BBC Bircher Smart Access look forward to welcoming customers, partners, and interested parties in person in Sydney from September 2 to 4, 2026, and discussing the future of secure and intelligent access solutions together.
